Unit templates
Video coming soon — the written steps below cover everything.
The multifamily problem
A 200-unit building has maybe six unique unit plans. Laying out heads 200 times is not design — it's copying. Unit templates make the copy explicit.
Using templates
- Lay out one unit the careful way — heads, spacing, coverage verified.
- Save it as a unit template.
- Stamp the template onto every matching unit across the plan — rotated and mirrored versions included, so the B-unit reversed layouts place correctly.
- Edit the odd unit after stamping when the field conditions differ.
Trust but verify: the coverage shading stays live over stamped units — a unit that got mirrored against an unexpected wall shows its gap immediately.
