The workflow, end to end

From the architect's file to a drawing you can hand off.

Design Studio isn't a viewer or a calculator bolted to a plan. It's the drawing environment — and it's built around the way sprinkler work actually gets done.

Step 01

Import the architect's drawing

Bring in the job's DWG as a background reference and toggle off the layers nobody needs. Only got a plotted PDF? Import it as CAD — real vector linework and layers, not a fuzzy raster underlay.

Step 02

Lay out heads

Place heads with snaps that grab ceiling tiles, spacing rhythms, and alignments, or draw a Coverage Cell over a room and let it fill itself with a compliant array. Coverage shades in live, so gaps show up before a reviewer finds them.

Step 03

Route pipe

A guided workflow walks the routing decisions in order — where the riser feeds, how mains run, how branch lines pick up the heads — and you steer at each stage. Then grab and move what you want moved; connected piping follows.

Step 04

Run the hydraulics

Calculate the system you actually drew — real pipe lengths, fittings, and elevations from the model, not a hand abstraction. Demand point against your supply curve, with the pressure margin in plain sight.

Step 05

Coordinate in 3D

Model the structure — columns, beams, roof — elevate the system to hang under what it actually hangs under, and cut live elevation profiles through the run. Bring in other trades' models to find the fight before the field does.

Step 06

Export a DWG that lands clean

Send the drawing out as DWG or DXF — including into AutoSPRINK, where it opens as real geometry on sane layers instead of a mess you spend an afternoon un-picking.

Straight with you

It's an alpha. That's the deal, and it's a good one.

Design Studio is a work in progress — parts are unfinished, some things move between builds, and it will occasionally do something silly. We'd rather say that on the front page than have you discover it on a deadline.

What we'll also say: it's progressing quickly. There's a new build most weeks, and the fastest way to change what's in the next one is to be in the current one. Use it alongside the tools you trust today and let it earn its way in one task at a time.

During the alpha, it is not sold at all — alpha access is included with a SprinkFlow Tools subscription for as long as the alpha testing phase runs, and if you stop subscribing you simply stop having it. How Design Studio is offered after the alpha hasn't been decided yet; testers will be the first to know.

How to get in

The alpha rides along with SprinkFlow Tools.
