DWG to PDF stops printing black boxes over shaded areas.

DWG to PDF

• Large solid fills (an architect's screened SOLID hatch for a roof overhang or area of work) now print as a light grey screen instead of solid black, so the linework under them stays visible.
• New "Large solid fills" setting: light grey screen (default), 50% screen, black as drawn, outline only, or hide. Small fills such as arrowheads and door swings always print black.
• Line weight and text-outline settings from 1.1.25 are unchanged.

Lighting sheets keep their fixtures, and DWG to PDF gets an adjustable line weight.

PDF-to-CAD: electrical sheets

• Fixture circles drawn as arc pairs are now welded into real circles and kept. Previously they fell into a default-off layer and vanished from the export.
• New layers on lighting and power plans: E-LITE (fixtures, on by default), E-WIRE (home runs), E-ANNO (fixture tags), E-SWITCH, all off by default so the wiring can be removed in one toggle. The "For sprinkler design" preset keeps fixtures and hides the rest.
• Architectural sheets are unchanged.

DWG to PDF

• "Line weight" preset from Ultra fine (0.05 mm) to Extra heavy (0.35 mm), remembered per browser. Default is the same hairline as before.
• "Outline text and fills" checkbox: off prints lighter lettering.

Also

• AI layers learns the electrical vocabulary.

Report errors from inside the app, and PDF-to-CAD learns what the linework is.

Report this error

• Every error message now carries a Report action, plus Settings → Help & Support and a Ctrl+K "Report a Problem" command.
• The dialog captures a screenshot of your SprinkFlow window, lets you add what you were doing, and sends it straight to support. Error fixes are usually handled immediately, and you can opt in to an email when the update that fixes it ships.
• Reports queue offline and send the next time you're connected.

PDF-to-CAD: Smart layers (Experimental)

• Layers named by what the linework is: walls, doors, windows, columns, grid, dimensions, annotation, room names, title block, hatch, fills, furniture, and layers named from the sheet's own legend. On by default when the PDF has no CAD layers of its own.
• "For sprinkler design" preset keeps the layers a designer needs and drops the rest. "Show by color instead" gets you the previous picker.
• Sheets with enough dimension strings measure their own plot scale and offer it. Set the plot scale before converting: door detection depends on it.

PDF-to-CAD: AI layers (owner preview)

• Sends a numbered overlay of the sheet to Claude and labels each region, with a review and clean-up view: isolate, rename, merge, delete, rubber-band remove, "Sprinkler only". Gated to the SprinkFlow team for now.

Also

• Datasheet proxy allow-list synced with the catalog, so web-edition imports work for every manufacturer in it.

Hotfix for 1.1.22. If you installed 1.1.22, please download this installer directly: that build cannot sign in or check for updates.

• Restores sign-in ("No Supabase anon key is configured for this build" on 1.1.22).
• Restores license checks, update checks, and export gating that 1.1.22 shipped without.
• Everything from 1.1.22 is included: detail OCR in plan scan, seismic bracing row with named parts, nVent CADDY per-model datasheets, the stranded-license self-heal.

Plan scan reads the details drawn on the sheet, and the datasheet catalog gets real nVent CADDY sheets.

Plan scan

• Reads rendered details, riser/hanger details and embedded seismic calc sheets that have no extractable text (OCR of detail regions), so backflow preventers, riser assemblies and bracing hardware called out only in drawings are now found.
• Seismic bracing is one review row with the named parts (Tolco Fig. 1001/980/825/828, AFCON, CADDY) and a receipt showing where each detection came from.
• Notes prose such as "Figure 1" or "quick response" no longer becomes a sprinkler match.
• "Teach my default" and preferred-manufacturer matching now recognize imported rows with a blank manufacturer (e.g. Victaulic couplings).

Datasheet catalog

• nVent CADDY 107, 108, 109, SOSR and DOSR point at nVent's per-model datasheets instead of one shared text spec.
• Manufacturer sites that block non-browser downloads (nvent.com) now work from the desktop app.

Account

• Fixes AI datasheet lookup and AI cut-sheet import being blocked while the subscription showed active (stranded license lease self-heals).

Catalog quality

• Every one of the 680 catalog datasheets was audited and language-verified: 34 Tyco sheets that could resolve to foreign-language documents (Russian, German, Norwegian, Swedish) are now pinned to their English versions, and existing installs pick up the corrected links automatically.
• 7 dead datasheet links repaired (Viking F-1/J-1/M-2 valve trim sheets, Potter bells and horn/strobes, Viking VK309).
• New verified datasheets: Hilti KWIK Bolt TZ2 wedge anchor + HDI/HDI-P drop-in anchors, AGF Commercial RiserPACK (8000/8011) + Ultimate Kits, National Fire Products Resi-Riser.
• One manufacturer entry per company in the catalog filter (no more Sammys/SAMMYS/Wood Sammys duplicates), and datasheets with a missing manufacturer now recover it from the sheet title.

Fixes

• Plan Symbol Library loads again (it could open empty after the sidebar rework).
• Importing datasheets from the plan-scan review no longer adds them to your submittal before you hit Apply — and Cancel truly leaves your submittal untouched.
• Convert PDF to CAD: engineering scale presets (1"=10' through 1"=60') and a custom-scale box that understands "1 in = 20 ft" and every common way of writing it.

Free trial

• The 7-day free trial no longer requires a credit card. Create an account, sign in, and it starts automatically. A card only ever comes up if you choose to subscribe.

Convert IFC to CAD (new tool)

• The GC sent a Tekla or Revit IFC and you need a background? SprinkFlow now reads it directly.
• 2D beam layout: clean plan with member sizes labeled, real structural layers (S-BEAM, S-COLS, S-ANGLE...), beam centerlines, and top-of-steel callouts.
• 3D model: true feature-edge linework (the edges you'd draw, not triangle noise), with optional surface meshes for shaded views.
• DWG output when the free ODA converter is installed, DXF always. Drops straight into your CAD as a background.

Plan scan: your preferred manufacturers

• Tell SprinkFlow "I'm a Victaulic shop": Settings → Scanning → Preferred manufacturers, per category or one setting for everything.
• Or teach it in place — switch any scan suggestion to the brand you use and click "Make ___ my default."
• Detections themselves never change; your preference just decides which matching datasheet is pre-selected.

Compress on generate

• New toggle on both the Material Submittal and Hydraulic Calc Package generators: merge, compress, done — with the result reported ("Compressed 48 MB → 12 MB").
• Bookmarks and the table of contents survive compression. Works with or without ghostscript installed.

Quality of life

• Start Fresh button on the submittal builder's first step — safely clear everything, with a save-first prompt.
• Every hydraulic calc in the package builder now shows when it was imported.
• Dialog polish: sticky action bars sit flush with the dialog edge.

Sign in, modernized

• Sign in with Browser: the app opens sprinkflow.studio in your default browser (where your password manager lives) and finishes activation automatically.
• Email me a code: passwordless sign-in with a 6-digit code.
• Forgot-password link, remembered email, show/hide password everywhere, and clear inline status messages.
• Account dialog: billing text now reflects your real subscription state, and Check for Updates always answers — "you're on the latest" or "version X available" with the download button armed.

Plan scans you can trust

• Real progress stages while a scan runs (title block → OCR → AI read → matching) instead of a simulated timeline.
• "Show source" on detected fields opens the actual title-block crop with the read region highlighted.
• New different-job guard: applying a scan that looks like a different job than the submittal you have open now asks — start a fresh submittal (your current work is saved first), add anyway, or cancel. No more accidentally mixed submittals.

Builder & workflow

• Live cover + table-of-contents preview that updates as you type.
• Drop any file anywhere: plan sets, cut sheets, DWG/DXF, and calc PDFs are recognized and routed to the right tool.

When CPVC is detected, the review offers CPVC hangers: pick a manufacturer, then add all of theirs or choose individually. A note appears when a pipe datasheet also covers its fittings.

CHANGED - Plan scan: pipe types offer a choice

When the scan detects a pipe type that more than one datasheet in your catalog covers, the review now shows a Choose dropdown instead of silently taking the top match. Sch. 10 offers Bull Moose Tube and Wheatland Tube; CPVC offers IPEX and Spears. The previous pick stays preselected, so nothing changes unless you choose otherwise. Pipe types with a single matching datasheet behave exactly as before.

Your contractor profiles are safe now, your loadouts fire themselves, and the catalog grew by 97 verified datasheets.

FIXED - Contractor profiles no longer lose their details

Two long-standing bugs could wipe a saved contractor down to just its logo - typing into a new profile was silently discarded, and an unloaded form could overwrite a good profile with blanks. Both fixed. Details now save as you type (no Save click needed), and a profile that ever loses its fields rebuilds itself from the jobs it was used on. Saved loadouts had a similar bug - they were never written to disk at all - also fixed.

NEW - Loadouts fire on plan-scan detections

Give a loadout triggers - CPVC, Riser Assembly, Lateral Brace, and every other concept the scan can name - and when a scan detects one, that loadout's datasheets arrive in the review pre-checked and labelled with where they came from. Build your CPVC hanger set once; every CPVC job pulls it automatically.

NEW - 97 more datasheets, every link verified

Grooved fittings and couplings from Grinnell G-FIRE, Reliable, ARGCO, Gruvlok, Shurjoint, Viking, SCI COOPLOK, Anvil and GemLock - the catalog had only Victaulic before. Plus the full SAMMYS and Sidewinder rod hanger line. Every URL was checked to return the genuine manufacturer PDF.

IMPROVED - Datasheet catalog filters

Filters are on screen from the start - no more clicking Filters to open them - laid out in an even grid, with a new filter to show only datasheets already in your database. Fittings can finally be filtered by manufacturer.

IMPROVED - The scan knows more products

Hanger detection grew from 5 types to 19: CPVC hangers, riser clamps, side beam brackets, C-clamps, retaining straps, wrap-arounds, bar joists, trapeze, eye rods, concrete anchors and more - each defaulting to a sensible catalog pick. "Threaded rod" now brings up all-thread rod, never Sammys - and "Sammy" brings up Sammys, which have datasheets at last. Bare "grooved coupling" spec language now resolves instead of being skipped. Backflow defaults to the Ames 3000SS and lateral braces to the Tolco Fig. 1001.

Plan scan: smarter project-address selection - the scanner now picks the address by proximity and affinity to the project name instead of the first plausible match, measurably improving address accuracy on real title blocks.

CHANGED - Plan scan: contractor matching

The scan review no longer shows an editable contractor form. It now matches the contractor it detects on the plans against YOUR saved contractors - by name (tolerant of Inc/LLC and punctuation), license number, or phone - and simply offers it: "Contractor detected", Use / Don't use. One click applies the saved contractor exactly as if you picked it on the Contractor tab.

If nothing matches, it says so plainly and you pick or enter the contractor on the next step, same as always. No more half-filled address boxes from plan text.

The plan scan now reads the title block like a person does.

IMPROVED - Plan scan: project name and address

Measured on 35 real plan sets, the detected project name went from right 32% of the time to 93.5% with a subscription, 74% without. Addresses improved too.

What changed under the hood:

• The title block is located by real glyph positions now, so CAD-produced plan sets - where the old reader saw nothing at all - parse properly.
• When the sheet is a scan, the title-block area is re-read at high resolution instead of squinting at the whole sheet at once.
• OCR now ships WITH SprinkFlow. No PDF24, no Ghostscript, no setup - scanned plans read out of the box on any machine.
• Subscribers: when the local read still is not confident, SprinkFlow sends just the small title-block snippet (never your plan set) to the cloud AI, which reads it like a plan reviewer would. That is the 93.5% path.

The scan is also honest now. Every detected name says where it came from ("Detected from title block, sheet 1" vs "Guessed from PDF filename"). When confidence is low the field stays EMPTY instead of confidently wrong, and the ranked candidates appear as one-click "Did you mean" suggestions.

Engineer letterheads no longer win the project-name slot, notes headings ("SEISMIC DESIGN INFORMATION") are stopped, and a name that repeats in the title block across sheets beats anything that appears once.

Plan Symbols now follows the office standard legend.

CHANGED - Plan Symbols library rebuilt

The library was redrawn against the office fire sprinkler symbols legend so the symbols you copy out match the symbols on your plans. Twenty-two are new and six were redrawn: fire hydrant, post indicator valve, check valve, backflow assembly, pendent head and inspector's test connection.

New in the library: two-way and four-way seismic bracing, pipe hanger, sprinkler with head guard, hydraulic reference point, grooved coupling, thrust block, threaded plug, threaded or grooved cap, change in pipe elevation, local alarm bell, auxiliary drain, upright head, sidewall head, existing head, radial-spoke head, plain gate valve and a two-way fire department connection.

Everything is drawn in the same house style at the same weights, so a legend you assemble out of these reads as one drawing rather than a scrapbook. A new Hangers & bracing category joins the browse rail.

The legend draws flex and rigid grooved couplings identically - the flex one is called out with an FC tag rather than a different glyph - so the library carries one grooved coupling, not two.

The revision delta ships bare now; the number is lettered in by hand, so the symbol is no longer locked to a 1.

REMOVED

The four-way fire department connection, the waterflow switch, the underground pipe linetype and the three overhead run linetypes (main, branch line, arm-over) have been taken out of the library.

Hazen-Williams calculator, and PDF-to-CAD sheet thumbnails that stay readable on big plan sets.

NEW - Hazen-Williams Calculator (Design Tools)

Pick a pipe, type a flow, read the friction loss in psi/ft as you type. An optional length adds the total. Schedule 40, Schedule 10, CPVC SDR 13.5 and cement-lined ductile iron are built in with their actual internal diameters, or enter your own ID. C factors default per NFPA 13 Table 23.4.4.7.1 and stay editable for aged or specialty pipe, with the common values listed on screen.

The shown-work block spells the formula out with your numbers substituted, including the intermediate powers, so a plan reviewer can check it by hand - and it copies to the clipboard in one click. Velocity comes along for free.

FIXED - PDF to CAD: sheet cards collapsed on large plan sets

On a 220-sheet set every thumbnail crushed down to a 2-pixel sliver, so the Sheets panel was a stack of blank bars. The grid was splitting the panel's height equally across every row instead of sizing rows to their content, which also meant a large import fired 178 thumbnail renders at once. Cards now hold their proper size at any sheet count and the panel scrolls; a big set queues about ten previews and loads more as you scroll.

FIXED - Feet / Inch on the phone showed a stray field

The web tools had a CSS rule that outranked the browser's own hide behaviour, so the "Multiply by" box stayed on screen in add and subtract mode. Fixed for every tool at once.

NEW - No Contractor option on Material Data Submittals

The Saved Contractor dropdown now has "No Contractor (leave blank)" for jobs where the contractor block should stay empty on the cover, matching the hydraulic tool's existing toggle.

SprinkFlow v1.1.10 — the spacing optimizer now tells you what its answer is based on.

Fixed: max spacing was calculated from hardware you hadn't chosen yet

The Step 3 spacing optimizer answers "the largest brace spacing that passes every check" — but it ran the hardware checks against whatever happened to be left in the form, which could be a concrete anchor when your brace is landing on wood. On one real stretch that was the difference between 40 ft and 9 ft. Not a rounding error, a different design.

Now the answer always states its basis, and updates live

• Pipe only — the code spacing limit plus the braced-pipe zone-of-influence table (18.5.5.2) for the main you picked in Step 3. Independent of hardware, so it's a true ceiling.
• Provisional — some load-path checks are in play; it names which are still unpicked.
• Final — brace member, assembly and fastener all selected.

The readout moved out of the collapsed Step 3 panel and into the context bar, so it stays visible while you pick hardware. It shows the governing element and its allowable load next to the spacing — swap a 3/8" anchor for a 3/4" and watch the max jump from 25 ft to 40 ft, with the weakest link named either way.

Turn it on with the Auto-optimize checkbox in the Spacing Optimizer panel.

Also

• At Review, if the spacing you applied exceeds what your final hardware allows, the result says so with the component responsible.
• A longitudinal brace reports "no pipe-based limit — pick hardware" rather than the meaningless 80 ft code ceiling, since Table 18.5.5.2 is a lateral table.

SprinkFlow v1.1.9 — a small correctness fix on top of 1.1.8.

Fixed: Convert PDF to CAD showed the wrong output format

The Convert button read "Convert & Save DXF..." until a PDF had been imported, even with the free ODA File Converter installed and DWG output available. You only found out the tool could produce DWG after committing to an import.

The button now reports the real output format as soon as the tool opens, and the format is decided in one place so the button, the converter prompt and the conversion itself always agree. With the converter installed it reads "Convert & Save DWG..."; without it, "Convert & Save DXF..." alongside the install prompt.

Conversion output itself was always correct — this only affected the label.

Everything from v1.1.8 is included: the Plan Symbol Library (Experimental), the Blueprint / Vellum / Graphite themes, the seismic governing element with safety margin %, and the ODA detection, scan-window and Check Valve fixes.

SprinkFlow v1.1.8 — the Plan Symbol Library, three new themes, and a much clearer seismic result.

New: Plan Symbol Library (Experimental) A searchable library of clean 2D plan symbols. Find a symbol, click it, and a transparent PNG lands on your clipboard ready to paste into Bluebeam, Acrobat or Foxit. Alias search means "siamese" finds the fire department connection and "os&y" finds the gate valve. Four style families (Standard, Bold, Solid and a white-knockout Halo that stays legible over dark hatch), six ink colors, and favorites plus recents. Eight symbols to start, growing each release.

Three new appearance themes Blueprint (prussian cyanotype with pale cyan ink), Vellum (warm drafting paper instead of screen-white) and Graphite (quiet neutral charcoal with brass). Dark and Plain Light are unchanged. Every pairing meets WCAG AA contrast.

Seismic bracing: what's actually limiting you The calc now names the governing element — the weakest link in the load path — with its maximum allowable load, the demand, and why. A GOVERNS badge marks the row so you can see at a glance that upsizing the brace member buys nothing while a 183 lb anchor is the real ceiling. New optional safety margin % display.

• Installing the ODA File Converter is now picked up without restarting SprinkFlow, plus an "I've installed it — check again" button on every prompt.
• The Review Plans Scan window no longer closes when you press inside it and release outside — that could silently discard a scan.
• Backflow preventers no longer appear under Check Valve in catalog matches.

What's new in 1.1.7

8 new cover templates + a preview gallery. The Material Data Submittal and Hydraulic Calc Package cover picker grows from 5 to 13 designs — from copier-proof black & white to design-forward layouts. The new gallery shows live thumbnails, and you can star your favorites to pin them to the top (shared across both tools).

Slip Sheet — visual page editor. New mode in the PDF workspace: your base PDF renders as page preview cards. Click a page to replace it with the next slip-in sheet, drag a sheet onto a page to replace it, or drop it between two pages to insert. Click any placed page to undo.

PDF to CAD — line weights & colors tuned for AutoSPRINK. Converted drawings import with Element Widths pre-filled (~0.5 / 0.25 / 0.1) and colors mapped to AutoSPRINK's palette — no more everything-at-zero. Weight-split layers (-W050/-W025/-W010), stipple & hatch dots on their own -HATCH layer, a 3/32" = 1'-0" preset, and a custom scale box that takes 3/32, 1:50, or a raw factor.

Hydraulic Analysis Report — residential design bases. New System Design Basis selector: NFPA 13 residential sprinklers (19.3.1), NFPA 13R (7.1.1), and NFPA 13D (10.1/10.2), each writing the real code criteria into the report. Residential also joins the occupancy hazard dropdown with basis-aware density (0.1 under 13, 0.05 under 13R/13D).

Preliminary Calculation — Supply Safety Margin. Converts demand pressure into the supply needed for a chosen cushion, measured correctly as a percentage of the supply (supply = demand ÷ (1 − margin)). Auto-fills from your estimate; also available as a standalone tool in the mobile app.

Plus: the web edition (web.sprinkflow.studio) gains the vicinity map, flow test sheet PDF export, and the Slip Sheet tool.

SprinkFlow v1.1.6 — lighter, freer, and smarter about xrefs.

Fixed

• Free accounts get the local scans back. The plans scan (it's local OCR + pattern matching, not AI), PDF classification, bid plan intake, and hydraulic-calc scanning were incorrectly locked behind a subscription in 1.1.3–1.1.5. Cut-sheet and spec scans also run their built-in analysis for everyone; only the hosted AI enhancement requires a subscription.
• Explode CAD Blocks now binds xrefs first. Attached xrefs used to silently vanish from the exploded DXF. Use the new "Choose file (binds xrefs)" button so xrefs sitting next to the drawing are found and merged in before exploding.

Changed

• 22 MB smaller download (78 → 56 MB): removed an unused PDF library and the early DWG/DXF viewer.
• Sign-in fields work with your browser/OS password manager.

Fixed

• Expired accounts can now sign in and subscribe. Previously an expired beta license blocked sign-in entirely, which left the Subscribe button grayed out — the exact "billing subscribe option is grayed out" report. If your beta ended: sign in, open Account → Billing, and Subscribe works.

• DWG / DXF Viewer (Tools): open any DWG or DXF and see it rendered like a plotted sheet — quick-check a customer's drawing without launching CAD. DWG viewing uses the free ODA File Converter; download links are provided in-app.

• The brace-type pill in the seismic context bar rendered brown with near-black text; it's now a clean orange with white text (longitudinal and 4-way pills tuned to match).
• New Start Over button next to Clear: a true full reset. Clear only wiped the calc inputs and New Project left the previous job behind — Start Over now also clears the looked-up job address and SDS lookup (including the saved job info), so a prior Lookup-From-Address job is completely gone, even after a reload.

How to run

1. Download the zip below and unzip it anywhere (Desktop is fine).
2. Run "SprinkFlow Spotter.cmd".

Requires access on your SprinkFlow account. If sign-in says you have no Spotter access, tell James which email you used.

New CAD Prep tools:

• Convert PDF to CAD — turn a PDF sheet into an editable DXF. Browse the whole set as thumbnail cards, click the sheet you want, pick a plot scale, and import every color layer as its own CAD layer.
• Explode CAD Blocks — drop a DWG or DXF and flatten every block into plain lines, arcs, text, and hatches — AutoCAD's XPLODE with no AutoCAD needed. DWG files are read with the free ODA File Converter; DXF needs nothing.

Save Project button restored in Legacy Mode - it's back in the Project card header, on both the New Project and Saved Projects tabs. Thanks to Gerald E. for the catch.

NEW: Hydraulic Analysis Report tool (Design Tools) - build a copy-paste design-basis report for your plan sheets: applicable codes, occupancy hazard by room (grouped, with densities), a QR design-area reduction calculator (enter ceiling height, get the reduction), dry/preaction and sloped-ceiling +30% modifiers, custom hazard classifications you can save for reuse, and size-banded piping specs including underground pipe types. Save reports to reopen/edit and link them to a saved project. Ceiling height accepts feet-inches (e.g. 15-2).

Vicinity Map - pan controls moved below the map so the map screenshots clean, plus a Copy Image button to paste the map straight into your plan set.

NEW: Vicinity Map Generator — type a project address, and SprinkFlow pulls the surrounding streets from OpenStreetMap and draws a plan-set-style vicinity map: heavy major roads, thin minor streets, a dashed AREA OF WORK box, north arrow, and labels. Everything's editable — drag the AREA OF WORK box and its callout, drag street labels, and right-click any street or label to rename or remove it (without changing line weight). Click a street to flip it heavy/thin. Export to PNG for a plan sheet or DXF (feet, layered) for your design software. Needs an internet connection; only the address is sent out.

Hanger spacing now enforces the NFPA 13 end-of-line limit — the last hanger on each end stays within the unsupported-length maximum (36/48/60 in for 1"/1-1/4"/larger steel), with the run re-spaced as evenly as the code allows.

Plus the water-supply safety margins and HydraCalc import from recent updates. Installer unsigned while code-signing is pending.

Safety margins on the Water Flow Test Sheet — every system demand now shows its safety margin in exact PSI and as a percentage of the residual pressure at the demand flow: on screen, in the report summary, and as a new Safety Margins table on the printed sheet. Demands the supply can't cover are flagged in bold red. Thanks to Justin for the request.

Also in this update:

• The demand row's Remove button no longer runs off-screen on narrower panels
• Head Layout diagram dimensions are readable at any head count (uniform runs now dimension as "N SPA @ spacing = total", drafting-style)

HydraCalc / Hydratec calc support — calcs from HydraCalc (Revit) now read correctly: Job Name → project name, Location → project address, occupancy classification → hazard (LH/OH/EH/RES expanded), and area numbers like L1-1 keep their formatting. Thanks to Gerald E. for the sample files that drove this.

NEW: Spec Materials Finder — drop a full project spec book (even 1,800+ pages) on Step 1. SprinkFlow finds the fire-sprinkler sections (Div 21 or legacy Div 15), pulls the material requirements — pipe schedules, hanger types, stainless callouts, prohibitions — with page references, and matches them against your datasheet catalog.

Wizard upgrades — clickable step chips to jump between the 4 steps, an always-visible Save Project button, Start Over now confirms and truly clears, and a session banner when a previous submittal is still loaded.

• The local app API now rejects cross-origin requests (CSRF protection) and binds to loopback by default.

New: AI-assisted import. When you import cut sheets or hydraulic calc packages, SprinkFlow now reads them with Claude for far more accurate auto-fill:

• Cut sheets: manufacturer, model, K-factor, listings, temperatures, and the per-orientation SIN/listing map.
• Hydraulic calcs: hazard, design density/area, demand flow & pressure, available supply, safety margin, system type, and K-factor.

The existing parser stays as an automatic fallback, so import works unchanged when AI is unavailable. This is the same auto-update-enabled build line; after installing 0.2.1-beta.6 or later you will see "Update Available" in the app for future releases.
