Windows 10/11. Your SprinkFlow Tools subscription is the key — there is nothing extra to buy and nothing extra to sign up for.

Install it. Windows may show a SmartScreen notice — the installer isn't code-signed yet. Choose More info → Run anyway.
Sign in inside the app with the same email and password as your SprinkFlow Tools account. An active subscription unlocks the Studio automatically.
Keep it updated. New builds land most weeks. The app checks for them, or come back here for the current installer.

What “alpha” means here

Most software calls itself a beta once it's basically finished. This is earlier than that, and we'd rather say so than have you find out on a deadline. Design Studio is a real program doing real work — and it is also a program with rough edges, missing pieces, and things that will move next week.

What to expect

A new build most weeks
Features that arrive half-dressed and get better
Rough edges, odd wording, and the occasional crash
Things moving between builds as the workflow settles

What not to expect

A finished product — it isn't one yet
A promise that any particular feature ships by a date
Support turnaround like a shipping product's
That it should carry a job you can't afford to redo

Use it as a second set of hands, not your only set. Keep your production work in the tools you trust today, and let the Studio earn its way in one task at a time. That's how the testers who enjoy this get the most out of it.

What testers get

The whole program. Not a trimmed-down preview — the same build we use.
Every new build, first. Weekly cuts, as they're cut.
A direct line into what gets built. The bug and idea reports coming out of the alpha are the roadmap. Small annoyances that get reported often tend to disappear fastest.
No extra cost, ever. Access rides along with an active SprinkFlow Tools subscription. We are not selling the Studio, and you are not paying for it.

How to report a bug (please do)

Press F12 anywhere in the Studio. It grabs a screenshot of exactly what you're looking at, hands you a pen to circle the problem, and sends the whole thing — your note, the marked-up image, and what the app was doing — straight to us. No email, no forum account, no reproduction steps typed from memory.

What makes a report useful

Circle the thing. One arrow beats three paragraphs.
Say what you expected to happen. That's usually the actual bug report.
File it while it's on screen — the app captures the state for you.
Small stuff counts. "This button is where I never look" is a real report.

Ideas are welcome through the same button. If something in the Studio is slower than how you'd do it by hand, we want to hear that most of all.

Your drawings, and the fine print

Your project files stay on your machine. The Studio doesn't upload your drawings; a bug report sends only what you chose to send — your note, the screenshot you marked up, and technical details about the app itself.

The honest disclaimer: alpha software is provided as-is, with no warranty and no guarantee of fitness for a particular job. Sprinkler design is life-safety work — every layout, calculation, and drawing that comes out of the Studio is yours to check, stamp, and stand behind, the same as any other tool on your bench. Back up your files. Don't let an alpha be the only copy of anything.

Access is part of the alpha testing phase and lasts while the alpha runs and your subscription is active. Features may change or be removed between builds, nothing here is a promise that a particular capability will ship, and how Design Studio is offered after the alpha hasn't been decided yet. If any of that is a dealbreaker, skip the alpha — SprinkFlow Tools is the product, and it stands on its own.
