AI cut-sheet reading

Two layers of reading

• Local scanning (free, always on): when you drop plans or PDFs in, SprinkFlow scans them on your machine — pattern matching and OCR, nothing uploaded. This is what detects your legend, schedule, and project details.
• AI enhancement (subscription): for cut sheets and specs, the AI reads the document like a person would — identifying the manufacturer, product, and where it belongs — so new datasheets file themselves correctly instead of arriving as "untitled PDF."

Using it

1. Add a cut sheet to the catalog (or drop a spec into a project).
2. Let the reader run — it proposes the item's name and category.
3. Review what it proposed. You always get the final say before anything lands in a package.

When it misses

1. Just edit the item — retitle it, move it to the right category. Your correction sticks; the package prints what the catalog says.
2. Multi-product PDFs (a whole fitting family in one document) are the usual culprit. Give the item the family name and let the TOC entry describe the group.
