LESSON A3

Covers, TOC and bookmarks

What you'll learn: how to make the package look the way your company wants it to look — covers, table of contents, bookmarks, and page numbering.

Video coming soon — the written steps below cover everything.

The cover gallery

  1. Open the cover picker on a submittal (or a hydraulic calc package — they share the system).
  2. Click through the 13 templates. They range from copier-proof black & white — for AHJs that photocopy everything — to design-forward layouts with color.
  3. Every template pulls the same data: project name and address, your company block, license number, and logo.

Starred favorites

Click the star on any template and it pins to the top of the gallery, on every project, in both the submittal and calc-package tools. Most shops settle on one or two house styles — star them once and stop scrolling.

What gets built automatically

Why this matters

Plan reviewers see hundreds of submittals. The ones that come back fast are the ones where the reviewer can find the ESFR data page in three seconds. Structure is speed.

House style tip: your contractor card (logo, license, address) is set once in the app and reused everywhere — covers, proposals, calc packages. Keep the logo file high-resolution; it prints at cover size.
